When we rescued Oliver before Christmas he was only 6 weeks old. We were very lucky with Oliver because he was almost pee pad trained when we found him, hard to believe right? However with Zoe our little Shorkie we had a real hard time with the pee pad until we confined her to a pen with a pee pad. After awhile she got the idea. You can't let a small puppy free roam. They have to be confined to a small area. Zach our Yorkie has been very hard to train. When we put him in a pen with a pee pad, he ate it or ripped it to shreads. Now he is trained to go outside wihich is good and bad because on a nasty day he still will not use the pee pad and he will pee and poop in the house. Zoe will burst a kidney before she goes in the house. Oliver is still too young to go out but he is 99% pee pad trained.
