I had to run to the little girl's room after reading about your shower checking! Of course I double looked for the "toilet snake" before I sat down !
Sorry, that was too cute-I've checked behind my shower curtains too (shhh sometimes I leave them pulled open just because)...to be fair we have windows above the shower and I saw the unsolved mysteries where some guy slid in the lady's mini shower window...which is my issue...
Even when I've been home alone all day and I didn't open any windows, before I leave I have to go through the house checking to make sure all the windows are closed, the sticks are in their places, and they are locked...
...stove checked next, then the heater tempt...I'm out the door...
Then,
I know I just put the key in,
I know I just turned the key and locked the door,
I heard it lock,
I saw myself do it...
I'm still going to take my key out and push the button and push and shake the door to be sure it is locked...
