Yes in our condo he did poop on the pad every night because we lived on 3rd floor and didn't take him out late at night. So he's been doing that (having few mistakes) for 3 years now.
We change his potty pads after he pees on them twice, plus during the day he pees and poops outside so he doesn't use them. So theyre never full at night when he should be pooping on them.
We had carpet in the bedrooms and another room that he was free to roam around on. The new house is entirely carpet except for the kitchen. So- he's confined to the living room for sleeping at night (carpet) and his potty pad is actually on the tile in the kitchen. (in case of accidents tile is easier to clean) So he has carpet and tile, but he keeps pooping on the carpet only. He pees on the pad at night! But poops on the carpet!
