Default VERY, VERY SAD but please read...

I'm sorry to bring such a sad post to your site but felt this is something EVERYONE with a Yorkie or small dog should read and remember...It's a terrible story that just happened today, but when our babies are in someone elses hands - there are unforseen dangers and poor Judy and Chipper learned this the hardest way possible.... that IF anyone is EVER in a SIMILAR SITUATION - just take your baby home and Re-schedule !

Judy, (Teachlady)'s little Chipper who went in with his brother for nuetering and baby teeth removal - YESTERDAY - Chipper did have a testical that didn't drop so he was needing a little more than nuetering - the doctor claimed he had emergencies and wouldn't be able to perform the surgery - he delayed the surgery till the next day (TODAY)

I copied Judy's post on what happened with Chipper ONLY for a warning regarding eating and surgery -

If you haven't read about Chipper somewhere else - Please read this very sad post by Chippers devestated mommie...It could help you in the future...

This is so totally heartbreaking and I think ALL HER VETS FAULT - there just aren't words for it...my heart is breaking for them and his brother - Kirby - who lost his best buddy.

We just brought Chipper back and buried him. It was the hardest thing we have done since burying Kirby the first. I can't believe this is happening again. He was hubby's baby and if anytyhing could go wrong it would go wrong with Chipper, from being sick right after we got him to his eye to his funky hair and his barking at every little thing. But he was loved so very much. It is so hard going through this again. And the hardest part is we think it could have been prevented.

Chipper was scheduled for surgery Thursday morning so he had no food after 8 Wednesday night. The surgery kept being pushed back and pushed back and by the time it occured this morning Chipper had gone 36 hours without food. I kept calling with my concern about that, but the vet kept telling me he was planning on the surgery so couldn't feed him. Apparently emergency calls prevented him from doing the surgery when he planned. In any case. hubby is extremely bitter and feels this could have been prevented. The vet said it was a reaction to the anesthesia, but I can't help but feel he would have handled it better had he not been without food for that length of time. We buried Chipper in the blanket that you saw in the picture Gina posted. He will be our special angel and is with the original Kirby now and my mom who passed away in April. It's very hard and very sad here right now. Thank you all for your support. I still am in shock and can't believe little Chip Dip won't be around anymore.
