Please be very careful when your pup is outdoors. I aways keep Calleigh on a leash. I don't know if a hawk would try to pick her up when she has the leash on or not. I know if one tried, the talons could do a lot of harm to her, if not kill her. I couldn't believe the first time I saw a hawk stalking my pup. I was sitting with her on the lawn and the hawk was right above us in a tree. We got up to move and the hawk flew next door to my neighbors roof and continued to watch us. Needless to say, we went indoors. I am always on the lookout now. I would suggest you keep your pup on a harness and leash at all times when you are out. I know it takes the fun out for their being able to run free, but you don't want to take the chance of something dreadful happening. Take care.
