Yes good way to go! We give 200 a year in dog food to our shelter. People don't realize they have limited funding from the goverment so you will be helping a doggie to live a few more weeks for the right person to come along to save them. shelters have to put so many asleep due to lack of space and food to feed them. The babies their need your help the most . Great thing your doing too. Thanks for helping rescues /shelters. I wish I could save them all. But saving one or two is better than none. Blessings
