Default Is this a hormonal thing?

Scarlett is almost 10 months and spayed. She's normally stand-offish, only wanting to be held when the mood strikes her. But the past few days she's turned in to a velcro dog. If I stop moving for even a second, she's in my lap or right at my feet. Right now, she's wedged in between the desk and my lap while I type. I'm not complaining, I love it. But I'm wondering if this is typical of a hormonal swing she would have had if she hadn't been spayed and will soon be going back to her more independent ways.

All of my other females have been spayed and stayed true to their over all personalities (of course, they were all velcro doggies, too.)
