Sorry it took me 3 posts , but i also wanted to say that we have seen a couple puppies come in from other areas around 9 weeks that had luxating patellas and one had to have surgery and the other never really had any problems with it. So your puppy may be okay. But your Doctor will prob keep a close eye on it each time you go in, to make sure its okay. Not all luxating patellas have to have surgery. In my experience at a Veterinary Clinic i would say 90% of small dogs with luxating patella do not require surgery at our hospital anyway. Hope this helps. |
