Yorkie puppies can be extremely picky eaters, and if they are given these foods, they may be less likely to want their dog food (leading to potential hypoglycemia). So IMO a Yorkie puppy who does eat its food well should not be given other things until they get a bit older. That way if they decide to get picky and stop eating their regular food, hypoglycemia is less of a worry. |
I totally agree with this. Oliver ate his kibble pretty well as a pup, although he was very picky when I switched it as to what he would eat. He recently got neutered and had 16 baby teeth pulled so I had to switch to some wet food....well now I'm trying to get him back on kibble and he hates it! I can't even imagine feeding him people food all the time, he'd throw a tantrum!
