I would also be curious on the grade of LP diagnosed. It concerns me that it was diagnosed so young and the grade would help confirm if it was genetic or not. Also, 8 weeks is too young for leaving mama and the litter. That combined with the LP makes me wary of the breeder, big time.

I'm not sure of the lemon laws in your state, but maybe you could get some reimbursement for the LP? I'm not really sure how they work though, so don't quote me on that. I would also try talking to the breeder about this issue if it does turn out to be genetic. What kind of health guarantees were in your contract?

If it were me, I would not personally be buying from the same breeder again in the future. Be sure to do thorough research and buy your breeder first next time. However, congrats on your pup! I know you must be so excited!!!!!

There are many threads on LP here on YT. I am sure you can find some helpful advice there and some other more experienced members may chime in here!

The advice I have is don't let your little one jump all around. NO jumping off the couch, bed, etc. It is really hard on their joints and especially bad for LP pups as far as I know.

I am glad she is healthy other than the LP! I am glad that you love your little baby and I am sure she is adorable! We would like to see pictures as soon as possible please! Love cute baby pictures here.
