Callie was around 9 months when I had her spayed and the first night all she did was sleep and for about a week she stayed mostly low key without me needing to crate her or anything. I did have to try and keep her from jumping tho because she wanted to sleep on the couch so I bought her a nice new comfy bed for the living room. If she licks her stitches she will need to wear the cone or some people I have heard on here use a baby onesie. I went ahead and bought the cone when Callie got spayed but she was uninterested in licking her stitches so I didnt have to use it. I have heard of a lot of dogs smaller then 7 pounds getting spayed and making it ok. I would make sure to get the blood work done before the spay that most vets recommend. It didnt seem to change Callies personality. Hope everything works out great.
