No, I don't think the pain of loss ever really does go away. I still miss Muffin. She was "special" and even though I love Kacee just as much, it would be so nice to have them both. It does leave a big hole in your heart and I can still remember even after getting Kacee that there were times when I had some trouble dealing with my grief for her, but it became more fleeting as time passed and I have been so grateful and so very blessed to have Kacee to help fill that big hole in my heart.
