I just posted on Truffles' RIP thread. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

When you talk with a breeder, ask what their health guarantee is on their puppies. Make sure they keep the puppies with their momma until at least 12 weeks old, longer if they're really small. Make sure they do NOT sell on open registration - reputable breeders will require a spay/neuter contract on their puppies. Make sure you can see both parents and their daily living conditions. Don't buy from a breeder who has several breeds, or who mixes breeds. Here's a link to a post that has these and lots of other good ideas for you. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...uy-yorkie.html

Here's a list of breeders that belong to the yorkie parent club, YTCA: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club. It might be a place for you to start your search.

Good luck on your search! I can't wait to "meet" your new baby.

Bonny
