It sounds like you are getting a silky adult coat!!! Yay!! It's so much fun to see how their coats change as they grow. Can you post a picture? Be careful of mats in their hair at this time. The textures of the puppy coat and the silkly coat growing through it can cause mats - especially under & around the elbows. You may have to comb your Yorkie puppy out every day or every other day for awhile to prevent matting. I always recommend a metal comb for this - it really seems to help. I use a 5" metal comb similar to the picture I attached.
