I bought a clicker for Ian about two weeks ago, and I LOVE it!! It has such an unusual sound that Ian responds to it immediately. Right now I'm only using it for "Come". I reinforce the positive behavior with verbal praise; everything I read said that you should reinforce with a treat to strengthen the response, I plan to try that as well, but I really want him to respond to my voice since I won't always have a treat with me.
I only have one, but plan to buy a few more...just in case.
My husband and I were shocked how quickly he responded.
