Hi. Sorry your baby is having these problems.

I just wanted to say that it would be best not to have this surgery at the same time as her spay. There is too great a risk of infection just opening the bowel, and if spaying were to be done too, you'd be providing more places for the infection to rapidly go.

Also, these are two major surgeries, recovery would be horrible. Fix the bowel... the spay can wait until she's fully recovered from this and her system is back to normal. She'll then be able to recover quickly from the spay.

Does your vet know what caused the pocket to form?
