I agree with all of the above suggestions. Your puppy may start out on what the breeder initially fed him; I would not make any drastic or immediate changes when he first comes home.
IF he is not already on a good-quality food from the breeder, very slowly transition him over to the kibble of your choice - adding just a little at a time to whatever he started on.
