Purposely breeding undersized dogs to get "teacups" is wrong especially because they are more prone to a lot of health issues correlating with their downsizing...I'm seeing the beginning of the "teacup" mini schnauzer craze...a lot of health issues with them too, like suddenly there are hypoglycemic schnauzies showing up! |
I agree with this. My boy is from two standard parents, his siblings are all around 5lbs and counting, and Harley is my little "cupcake" he is barely 4lbs wet. I get the teacup thing all the time, but honestly it's a scam. My breeder told me she heard someone talking about "teaspoon" yorkies to the other day and agreed that the terms made her sick.
