Melissa | According to most books, 7 weeks is a bit too young for a yorkie to be leaving his or her mom. Especially for toy breed, it is recommended to wait until 12 weeks (or maybe 10 weeks) and definitely not befoer 8 weeks.
At least you have to make sure your puppy is big enough to go home with you. Most reputable breeder won't let their puppies go if they weight less than 2 lbs even if the puppy is over 12 weeks old. There is a very good reason behind it - they tend to have low blood sugar problem and it could become life-threatening.
Another reason for waiting until the puppy is older is that they would know how to interact with other dog and not to bite hard. They play bite a lot so they really need to learn the limits from each other. You can teach you puppy not to bite hard yourself of course. Doggie interaction would require a bit more work on your part but it can be done.
I would try to see whether the breeder can keep your puppy a bit longer. If not, I definitely would keep a very close eye on her to make sure her blood sugar doesn’t drop to a dangerous level. You would need to feed her 4 times a day – even in the middle of the night. Leaving the dry food out 24 hours a day is another option but would make potty training harder.
I don't know what options do you have at this point so just be careful with her. With proper care, it would turn out alright.
