Well, I don't remember where I read or maybe saw it, but evidently I was over-boiling mine for years. And I found it works perfectly. My Mom agreed.
Place eggs in water
Add Salt
Boil for about 8-10 mins
Remove from heat & cover with lid
Eggs will continue to cook perfectly
After a few mins & preparing other things, I then
Holding lid with pot holder, drain hot water
Run cold water over eggs to cool
It really doesn't take too long
I then crack eggs slightly by tapping
Add cold water back into pot with eggs
Let them sit in cold water for a while
This helps to remove shell
While removing shell, I also run water over egg
Works like a charm!
