Now she's vaccinated, the snow is gone, and it is warming up so we want to train her to go potty outside. We started taking her out yesterday but have had ZERO success. She loves outside but is more concerned with checking everything out than going potty.
We've taken her out at times we know she regularly goes, like after eating and when we take her out of her x-pen. We've also brought her pad outside to help her and given her time to just sniff around, but she holds it until we get back inside to go on her pad.
Any tips to help make this transition successful?
Also, we are going to visit friends this weekend who have two dogs. Do you think it would be a good idea to take her out when they go so she can see what older dogs do outside?

I have an 8 mo old Yorkie that we trained to go outside when we first got her in August. Of course by November it was just too cold, for her and for me! So we trained her to use the pads with success.
Now that the weather is warmer I am starting to take her outside again. I have to get her out the very first thing in the morning. We have two older, larger dogs and she does know where the "spot" is to go outside. I, personally will not be taking up the pee pads until she "lets me know" she has to go out. Don't know if that will ever happen.
I do think that it will help if she sees the other dogs do their business outside.
Good Luck, let me know how it goes!!!
