I wasn't able to watch on TV because my DVR stopped recording when they switched channels (I hate that) so I spent quite a bit of time last night watching the Yorkie judging (and a few other breeds) plus the toy group on my computer. Jackpot was amazing and it's a shame he didn't even get pulled!!! He caught my eye in the breed judging and he showed very well in group. When the judge made his little sound at the end of the down and back Jackpot was one of the few who actually focused on him instead of their handler.
With that said, my husband often says that Yorkies just don't get the recognition they deserve in group. He says if their name doesn't start with the letter P they don't place very often in the larger dog shows. He says the following breeds are picked consistently and I've started to agree. How often do you see the Peke, Poodle (toy), Pom, & Pug place? I thought the Chinese Crested was a great dog too.
