(If the breeder is willing to part with something like this it would be very comforting to little Izzy. It will make the transition to your house easier and not so scary. Not to mention it will probably make it easier for everyone to get some sleep the first night! The familiarity would be comforting during sleepy time.)

That is all I can really think of right now and they aren't really needed. You will figure it all out as you go! Congrats again and enjoy your baby!!!!! We want pics!
Your recommendation for the breeder to give something for the pup to have the mom smell is a good one. My breeder gave me a stuffed animal for chachi and it is still his favorite toy he carrys it everywhere
