Animal Smiley 049 nervous & jumpy

Hi,
Toby had an electric shock last November, through biting into a electic cable outside near to the fish pond. my husband had left the cable exposed by accident. Toby bit into it & let out the most terrible of squeals & cries,& he could not stop shaking. We took him to vets to be checked out & he had burnt his mouth inside, apart from that the vet thought he was ok. He gave him a traquiliser shot which made him sleep the rest of the day.The same week, on bonfire night he escaped from our garden. The bangs & noises of the fireworks had terrified him. We found him 2 hours later shaking & shivering under a parked car about 1/4 mile away. The same week our other torkie,Benji, died who was 15 1/2 years. Toby really did miss him as did we all. Ever since these 3 episodes Toby has become really very nervous & jumpy over the slightest of things. Such as rattling saucepans, noisey cuttlery or dropping small objects on the floor.I don`t know how much of this behavour is due to the previous mishaps in his life! He is our beautiful little boy & will be 2years in may
