I understand your concerns, but I have only read of one case here on YT where the person regretted neutering. Although that is only anecdotal evidence, I would say those are pretty good odds that your boy will not be sad or lifeless if he is neutered. Max was neutered at 6 months of age and Teddy was 7 months old, and both of them are just as energetic, confident, and feisty as ever.
