A Yorkie's coat is different than the majority of dogs'. With the right shampoo and conditioner, a Yorkie can be safely bathed every 4 days with no damage to the skin. My boys would be a disaster if I waited 4 -6 weeks. I went 10 days this last time and they were close to miserable because they were so dirty. Depends on lifestyle and hair length of the Yorkie. My boys are active outdoors and they are in full coat.

There are a couple people here who have commented that their Yorkies go weeks without baths. However, their dogs swim frequently in the pool. That is essentially having a bath.
