I started taking mine to the groomer as soon as they had their shots- at the beginning she just bathed them, blow dried and did some minor trimming (sanitary, feet, etc.) This way they get used to all the sights and sounds of the groomer from and early age and are easier for the groomer to handle. When they were young I stayed with them the whole time though.
