My "little" guy was 3lb 13oz at 12 weeks and tops out at about 10 pounds (he's 4), so . . .

I don't know how accurate those growth charts are, but I have had breeders tell me that some grow up quickly while others put on more weight later. It's not a perfect science.

My Nicco is also cottony coated and we keep him in a puppy cut. The amount of grooming necessary to keep that woolly coat free of mats it just about too much and it didn't seem fair to him. I don't think you can tell for sure about his coat until he is older, though.
