The lady told my husband that she had a small umbilical hernia that she got from birth. She just had surgery to remove last week. Has anyone heard of this. Is there any problems or complications that can come from this. I may one day like to have a litter with my mom's male yorkie, could this possibly cause problems with the pregnancy. First of all I'm so sorry for your loss. As to getting another puppy so soon, only you and your husband know when it is right to get another one. It is totally up to you. I'm sorry I'm no help whatsoever about the hernia. I had one repaired on my lab when she was spayed but she was almost 4 years old at the time. My only suggestion to you is to call your vet and get their advice and see what they think if she may have any problems from the surgery.
