You also need to restrain them for their safety and yours! I put the harness on Snoodles and attach it to the seat belt with the leash. That way, she can't jump into the steering wheel (which Snoodles did once, and almost caused my demise) and if you happen to get into a wreck, it might save her life! I have a crate I use to put her in, but she howled like a banshee. Also the car seat she howled. So, this is the only way that is some safe I will take her.
