Huh I have one neutered male, one un-neutered male and an unspayed female andd a spayed female...I prefer boys over girls as in my experience a neutered male makes the best pet...females fixed or not exhibit more territorial and dominance-my un-neutered male only has an issue when a female is in heat...but that's my personal experience in my own dogs, my friends dogs, and from a couple breeders, behaviorist and my groomer...I'm sure you can find a list as long of people whom swear by the opposite.
I also have noticed in my experience despite what ppl say men do better with female dogs and women do better with male dogs...again its all totally subjective, and my son and our neutered male are the best of friends.
My females rule the roost here dominating the boys...of course the boys readily submit.
