I haven't had a Yorkie puppy look like that.
Can you tell us the breeders name?
With CKC registration it is possible to be a mix. (If that is the Continental Kennel Club and not Canadian Kennel Club)
But whether your baby is purebred or not she is beautiful |

She is half Silky Terrier and the other half is a Shih Tzu mix. The DNA was taken by a Wisdom Panel blood sample. So, needless to say, we are very upset and are going to be contacting the breeder this evening and going to her house for a full refund. I will keep you updated on the results of our efforts. I believe what she did is illegal and we can fight it. Now we feel unsatisfied because we didn't really get what we wanted. So, we are thinking about buying a second dog that is 100% Yorkshire Terrier. We wouldn't have thought to get a second dog, we really just want one Yorkie. But, since Nibbler has become part of the family, we can't part with her. Can anyone advise me as to where to find a legit Yorkie? I found my breeder on puppyfind.com. Is AKC registration 100% legitimate? How does AKC verify that puppies are purebred? Thank you, Anastasia |
1. I looked up your breeder PLEASE CONTACT THE AKC and notice the numerous complaints against this breeder and that she lost her ability to show and register her Pomeranian's due to PROVEN VIOLATIONS.
2. I actually thought your pup looked very Yorkie/Jack Russel to me but I'm no expert.
3. Glad you did a DNA test and I'm also in CA...research the lemon law and also civil code violations regarding terms of sales-try the you were sold something other than what you were promised...unfortunately the judges in civil court here usually make you return your pup in order to justify the court's resolution and determination of fraud.
4.Also know that CKC registration (unless it being Canadian Kennel Club which is also silly to get in the US) if often a sign of "issues" AKC registration of a pup is also not without fault but the only registration of a pup you should be concerned with in American.
5. FYI
