You sound just like me
I was scared to death to have my Jax neutered....they wanted him to stay all night also. I trust my vet completely too but did not see the point in having him stay if there wouldn't be anyone there with him. They did let me bring him home that night. He was a bit woozy but he still slept with us in bed. He didn't eat anything at all that first night. He was good as new in the morning....he never even acted like he was in any pain at all. He also had 4 baby teeth removed as well. His sutures dissolved on their own. I probably overreacted but I was so worried the whole day and he did great. I know little Oliver will too
