tracylynne79- try to start the outdoor asap. When I visited my vet last month, he asked if I was doing pads and I said yes-but was going to transition Reesie to outdoor when it got warmer. My vet recommended I start outdoor right away as it will confuse him. I started outdoor the next day in the subzero temps and let me tell you, I'M SO GLAD I DID!!!!! Reesie is doing phenomenal with the outdoor training. He is holding it, he is not confused at all, and he is going to the door to tell us he needs to go!!!! I dislike pads but understand why many have to use them. I am lucky to have a home where I can take him outside, so if you want outdoor- START RIGHT AWAY!! Using pads will tell Rocco pottying inside is OK!!!!!!!

Just my opinion and experience!! We are in the mid 30's and low 40's in MI now and taking him out is a breeze!! He loves the fresh air and smells and always goes POTTY
