It looks like a Lab is out for us because of our allergies and the shedding.
My hubby is going to be sad because he ADORES Labs. He has always wanted one. We actually bought his mom a purebreed chocolate female Lab as a surprise anniversary gift last year. His mom LOVES Kailua and treats her like a tiny baby. She's so spoiled and loved. But it sounds like Labs won't be a good choice for us because of the shedding ... darn

PS - I personally think Boxers are so cute but I'm concerned about the size. Jim wants a really playful and loving dog. But I'm worried about Codie (6 lbs) and Tia (probably going to be around 2 lbs-3 lbs) getting stepped on or seriously hurt while playing. Am I being overly nervous? I feel that I'm justified in my concerns but a co-worked said that I am always paranoid when it comes to my dogs. Then again, my co-worker doesn't have any pets at all -- so she should shut up.
And I don't really like the word "paranoid" one bit. I'd protective (of course) but why shouldn't I be? They're my little babies and they depend solely on me and Jim to take care of them and protect them.
