I like the topknots too. As long as you have the time/patience and the pup is willing to sit there for it, why not? It's adorable!
Maybe you could try a little styling gel or hair spray to try to get the topknot to flop backwards or to make the hair lay correctly.

Pixie's hair is long enough for one, but she's such a little wiggleworm it's hard to do them on her. They always end up crooked or too tight! My hubby isn't a huge fan of it either (even though Pixie is a girl), but he can just deal with it
