I don't think I'd get a Lab from a shelter. Lots of Labs are unstable and wild and that's why they end up in shelters. Mom and Dad have one with their Yorkie and their Lab is WONDERFUL but it's hard to know if you're going to get a great one or a lousy one. Apparently they're absolutely terrific or absolutely unbearable without much in between. If you could get one and be able to meet the parents and see that the parents are calm and steady, that would be different. |
