This is exactly how I started! I went to as many shows as I could and I talked to as many show/breeders as possible! Honestly most of them are there to help you, there are just a few that would rather not bother with you.. Yes wait until they are done showing before you approach them.. But first and foremost they have to know they can trust YOU with their hardwork!!

I would also suggest that if you have a show breeder that lives somewhat close to you give them a call and see if they would be interested in helping mentor you..
