I also worry when they admire too much. But I would not allow someone I don't know to pick Mia up. I always have worried with the other terriers they might freak and nip someone which happened when one of Jenna's friends decided to put a necklace on Trixie. WAY after I had told them to not touch that Westie. It wasn't the putting on but the pulling back off that caused her to you guessed it nip the girl in the mouth and give her a stud like piercing on the lip. She was very protective and old! Mia has never shown that type of reaction but does not like strangers touching her either. I would have told her to give my child back and she should never grab a dog or child without permission. Not only for their safety but also the animals.
