Default rest in peace Honey

I am a former yorkie rescue volunteer, but when my job required me to work 13 hour days, I retired from rescue. Honey forced me back into rescue, and broke my heart.

Honey was adopted to her "furever home" 2 years ago.
Her adoptive mom contacted me Christmas week saying that Honey was Ill & she couldn't afford a vet visit. I picked Honey up, she was so sweet, so trusting, so sick, a really bad cough. I was so worried & so in love with this little girl. The vet said clavimox should fix Honey up quick, what a relief! I already loved her so, and decided to be a yorkie mom again! Two days on clavimox & Honey started vomiting, vet said we'll try a different antibiotic... two days later Honey was lathargac and so much worse. Our trusted vet said Honey had a 20% chance of survival if she was hospitilized, 0% chance if we brought her home. We tried for the 20%, but Honey didn't make it.

Honey was in our lives & in our home for such a short time (less than two weeks), but we fell in love with her. We have always been yorkie owners, but have been "dogless" for several years. Honey reminded me of the great love yorkies give, and what we had been missing for the past several years. Thank you Honey, I'll never forget you!
