ohhh I LOVE shih tuz!!! There is a lot of info on the web about Shih Tuzs also.
That seams very small to me. My bailey is a tank.. he is 25 lbs.. but that is very very largre for a shih tuz. He is lots bigger than the mom or the dad. I had a girl and the vet said she would be 7 to 8 lbs.. same litter.
I guess look at the parents.
So... shih tuz run between 8 to 18 lbs.. they are very sweet and loving. They can be grumpy and some are not good with children. Be sure to clean the ears, and get him used to handling his feet and ears now. For some reason all the ones I have been around don't like their feet handled.
