It breaks my heart to hear of Max's plight. Please call your nearest rescue organization and ask them to pass along Max's location to the nearest Yorkshire Terrier rescue service or a small dog rescue. Most people in charge know other rescue personnel and they all belong to internet mail lists of other rescue groups, so word will get out. He will be put into foster care with an experienced foster where he will be loved and worked with on his issues of being afraid of men, etc.
Wish my group was closer............but I know there is a group closer.
