I am fairly new to Yorkie talk, and this is my first time asking a question. I apologize in advance if this question or anything like it was already posted but I've been looking for hours and if it is I cant find it. Anyway, lately my 5 yr old yorkie Gingy (Ginger) has been gnawing at her paws and rolling on her back alot. Not so much that it is bleeding, and she isnt really losing any fur, but she does do it occasionally during the day and at night sometimes too. This is just the first thing of a couple that I've noticed lately though. I am pretty sure that she has many common allergies that went along with the summer but now that it is winter I am wondering if her new problem could be from dry skin.?. I think that it started when I brought her over my parents house (who have 2 cats). Could it have anything to do with the cats? Also, she has been very distant maybe even sad when it comes to hanging out with me lately. Which is a stab in the heart for me because she always used to cuddle with me and follow me around the house, but now she is still excited when I get home from work, but after about 5 mins, she walks away and sits in the spare bedroom by herself. I will call her out to come and sit with me and she will walk over to the couch and look at me then walk back into the bedroom. I dont notice this when she is with my husband though! She sits with him now more than me, which is the complete opposite to how she used to be. Now... last but not least. I recently happened to look under our kitchen table and I found 2 lil poopies (which is not completely uncommon for her, because we are still having a hard time keeping her from pooping in the house, we've only had her less than a year, and we adopted her from a shelter, that got her from a groomer that was raided for falsifying vet documents, and we are pretty sure she was cage kept and only used for breeding, then put back in the cage) back to the poopie though, it was surrounded by this thick looking yellowish brown liquid, that seemed too thick to be urine. I was just reading about anal glands and was wondering if hers could have expressed themselves. Can anyone help me with any or all of my poor Gingy (and her mommy's) problems???? I am heart broken that my baby seems to not love her mommy anymore and I dont know if these things are related in anyway. Sorry for making this so long but I think that the details are important. Please give any advice that you can.
