I would absolutely wait. He's still got time to drop and it would be a lot more easier surgery to just wait. Plus, it's important to let his growth plates close. I am 100% for spay/neuter but I think it's often done entirely too early. I like waiting until 7-8 months to neuter a boy, unless marking, and other bad habits started earlier. But 6 months is the general consensus for spay/neuter.
