It is too late for the puppies mentioned in this thread but I feel it is our responsibility to speak out against such actions so that hopefully others who are more concerned about their puppies welfare in all areas of development will listen, learn and heed. |

7 Weeks of age, just being weaned. And one of the most critical times in a yorkie pups life is between 7 and 8 weeks of age....many die at this age. Not to mention initial vaccination is not given until 8 to 9 weeks. Let alone the stress a pup experiences leaving it's mom and litter mates can bring on Coccidia, hyperglycemia, etc.
You've mentioned several reasons as not to take a pup home prior to 12 weeks; 16 weeks better as they've been able to have Bile Acids performed.
