This all could have been avoided had this girl witnessed real life events. Having cute puppies are great but at what cost. There are so many dogs in shelters that need homes and so many people breeding for money that somewhere it has to stop. Let my story possibly change 1 person's mind on breeding. That would be the greatest gift you could give us. Don't let what happened to us happen to another dog. They just don't deserve it. |
I was telling my daughter about your story today (who, BTW, also has a 4 pound yorkie named Bella). She is a vet tech in Colorado and has worked for emergency vet hospitals. She has seen a lot, but even your story really touched her and she agreed that you have gone above and beyond. Most people would have lost the mom or pups by now. She was shocked and impressed that all the pups are alive and thriving. Of course, she is an advocate for spay/neuter and preaches this everywhere she goes when the opportunity arises. It is unfortunate that so many people, like Bella's original owner, are ignorant to the repercussions of pregnancy mishaps.
Again, cheers to you for all you have done. And please reconsider letting us help you in any way we can to offset the costs you have unexpectedly incurred caring for this lucky little yorkie family.
