I just reread what I had written and it probably makes no sense. What she has is spinal canal stenosis with severe spinal cord atrophy. They are going to remove that bone to prevent it from giving the spinal cord the final blow. It definitely cannot take any more. She would be paralized with anything more.

I took Gabby out a little while ago and she actually stood up!! She did not try to walk, but perhaps tomorrow! Made me feel a little better. When she started dragging herself around today I was so upset.
