You know whats a real shame, that rescues that are overwhelmed with dogs will not consider a respectable child as an owner. I was 14 when I opened my own business, and had prior to that owned and paid for 3 horses (I think I was 11 when I got my first), from the time I was 14-17 I rescued four horses. I'm living proof that some kids deserve a chance to own and love their own animals. Yeah ok they need supervision, but not all kids are rotten brats

Good on those kids for saving up for the cost of the puppy. They have things as well planned out for this pup as I did for my first horse.

Hummm.... I'm trying to think about the personality thing, as I got to visit Harley every week after he was born. I'd say probably around 6 weeks or so, I guess it depends. Harley was a very playful and hyper pup, as was his mom, so when I'd go visit the breeder would let the two of them play on the couch with us, and it was adorable.

Good luck finding the right pup for them.
