Great report! Sounds like you've got a perfect little pooch!
Scales at vet offices can vary a lot. I bought a postal scale for around $30 that works well for consistent weight measurements. It has a small base, but I just set a basket on top, zero it out, then drop the dog in the basket. Works great.
