I give mine sardines sometimes- they LOVE them- I usually will give them each one fillet per day until the can is gone. Make sure to buy no salt and canned in water.

I also will cook fish for mine- I bake it in olive oil- I usually give a white fish like sole, tilapia, or cod- I usually just buy an extra 2 pieces when I am getting it for myself and give them each one.

I can't really speak to the price of either of these though because I am terrible with that sort of thing!
